Casa Del Ingles can be found in the rural village of San Salvador del Prado, perched high in the hills above the vibrant city of Vigo in Southern Galicia. The house benefits from excellent transport links, and is just 20 minutes from the Autovia de las Rias Baixas (A52) which connects the Galician coast to the Spanish interior.
Close to the property is the market town of A Caniza (8km), the Spa town of Mondariz (14km) and a little further is the elegant medieval town of Ribadavia (25km) which is well worth a visit. Also within easy reach is the stunning city of Ourense (50km) with its elegant shopping and beautiful old city centre.
The house is easily reached from 4 airports; Porto in Northern Portugal (175kms, 1hr 50mins) and Vigo (45kms, 50mins), Santiago De Compostela (135kms, 1hr 35mins) and A Coruna (200kms, 2hrs) all in Galicia.
The house is also just 5 hours drive from Santander (550kms), or 6 hours from Bilbao (650kms), both serviced by Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth and Plymouth.

The whole area benefits from a favourable micro climate and the summers can be very warm and sunny, however being high in the hills the house benefits from the cooling mountain air and it never gets stifling hot. As well as the main summer month, May, June and later in September are particularly pleasant.
